At street level in Ballard, Underscore Studio is a reinvention of space and rhythm—blending writing, music, and gathering under one historic roof. Once a dark basement and garage, the new layout introduces daylight, texture, and warmth to support a young family’s creative lives. Wood built-ins frame moments of pause and utility, while durable metal-framed glazing connects the interior to the world beyond. The result is a grounded yet expressive foundation for work, play, and everything in between.
